Morocco is a dream destination for those craving adventure, culture, and relaxation. From the bustling souks of Marrakech, where traders’ voices mix with the scent of spices, to the blue-washed streets of Chefchaouen, Morocco offers a sensory feast of vibrant sights, sounds, and flavors. With a rich history that’s been carefully preserved, places like Fez boast treasures such as the Chouara Tannery, over a thousand years old, and the University of Al Quaraouiyine, founded in 859 AD, recognized as the oldest continuously operating university in the world.
While Arabic and French are widely spoken, English is common in tourist areas, making it easy to connect with locals. And no visit would be complete without tasting Morocco’s renowned cuisine—especially tagine, a slow-cooked stew featuring tender, seasoned meats and vegetables.
The landscapes in Morocco are some of my personal favorites. Picture trekking the rugged Atlas Mountains, stargazing in the vast Sahara, and experiencing unforgettable sunsets over the Atlantic coast—all on one incredible journey. Morocco promises an experience you’ll never forget.
Take Your First Step
Morocco has always been at the top of my list of countries to visit, and it was the first North African country I had my sights set on. Last year, we finally had the opportunity to visit in September. What are the odds? An earthquake occurred while we were there—the first significant one since 2004.
